great double cutting process

The shears have both a single process and a double process which works very well on the branches that I was cutting. The single process makes thinner branch cutting go quicker while the ratchet process effectively cuts thicker branches. It is very easy to switch between the two processes. The first pair the lock did not work but the customer service was outstanding in providing me with a pair that locks although the lock is still not easy to engage but the cutting is superb and the lock on the replacement pair works satisfactorily.

Saturday the weather allowed me to begin pruning to spring shoots popping up. After several hours of pruning the pin that attached to open and close and gear change fell off and I could not find it. It was then that I noticed the thinner blade was missing a chunk of metal.
These pruners fell very short of my expectations. Buyer Beware

These shears are not well made as they may appear to be. I have had these for four weeks and have used them a half dozen times. When making a cut of a 1/2 inch branch, the shears fell apart…pin fell out, spring came apart, parts dangling. I could not get it reassembled to work. Don’t know if something is missing. Either way I am going to cut my loss (pun intended) and purchase a different brand product. Everything was good before the bad happened.
