Just hours after announcing their engagement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posed for pictures at Kensington Palace to show off the stunning engagement ring and their prenuptial bliss. After dating for a year, the fifth in line for the British throne and the American actress and humanitarian will be wed in spring of 2018, which was first confirmed by Clarence House Monday morning on Twitter. In an appearance at Kensington Palace, the couple, who got engaged earlier this month, looked so in love while posing for photos in the Kensington Palace Sunken Gardens — the location was most likely a nod to Princess Diana. The stunning ring was designed by Prince Harry himself and includes a large center stone from Botswana — the couple traveled there together to celebrate Meghan's 36th birthday — and two diamonds from Princess Diana's personal collection, Brides reports.

After posing for pictures — this is just the announcement photos, we'll have to wait for official engagement pictures — Prince Harry admitted he knew he would marry Meghan "after the very first time we met," according to video obtained by the Today show. Meghan also admitted that the proposal was "very" romantic, but the couple remained hush about any details. For the photo op, Meghan donned a chic white coat from the Canadian label Line, a green dress from P.A.R.O.S.H., and nude heels from Aquazzura, Fashionista reports.

Harry confirmed their relationship in November 2016 with a statement condemning sexist and racist cyberbullying that was aimed at Meghan. Despite the rocky public start to their courtship, there is nothing but pure joy in these pictures.

And in a cover story for Vanity Fair from October, Meghan discussed their relationship for the first time. She said, "We're in love. I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It's part of what makes it so special, that it's just ours. But we're happy. Personally, I love a great love story."Us too, Meghan!
