The whole world has eagerly been watching the relationship of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since the two got together around a year and a half ago. Though the royal family traditionally plays things pretty close to the vest, it's always been clear how much these two care for each other, and many have always thought there'd be a proposal in the future. Well, it finally happened, and the pair stepped out for the first time as an engaged couple on Monday afternoon in London. Everyone is talking about the good news, including all the details of Markle's gorgeous engagement ring.

According to ABC News, Harry designed the custom ring himself for Markle. It features three diamonds, one of which is from Botswana (a place that holds plenty of significance for the couple, as they've spent time there together over their courtship) and two of which are from the collection of the late Princess Diana. The three stones are set in a gorgeous gold band from Cleave and Company, the queen's jeweler.

The ring is unique yet classic, just like Markle herself, and the two were glowing and happy during their first public appearance as an engaged couple. According to the official announcement made on Twitter, they'll be married sometime in the spring of next year — and we can't wait to see more royal style moments from Markle.
