Mental Health in the South-East Asia Region

The World Health Organization ( WHO) defines health as a "State of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". It is related to the promotion of well-being, the prevention of mental disorders, and the treatment and rehabilitation of people affected by mental health conditions. Mental health is fundamental to health and is of paramount importance to personal well-being, family relationships, and successful contributions to society. It is related to development of societies and countries.
