The festival's epicentre features a main stage with DJs, dance and exciting live music for an all day dance party everyday! Find our Hawkers Bar in this zone with a diverse selection of local beverages; stroll by live painting activations and local vendors.

During festival hours, many artists at City Centre Artist Lodge will open their studios to street party attendees as part of the City Centre Open Studios. Come see the innovative re-purposing of the former City Centre Motel as low-cost artist studio spaces initiated and managed by the Narrow Group.

Thursday, August 8th // RICECAKE Take Over

Ricecake is Vancouver's year-round, non-stop celebration of Queer Asian Pride. What started off as a one-off party inevitably turned into *the* place for the local BIPOC LGBTQ+ community to gather, while unashamedly embracing their diverse and complex identities. 

For their third collaboration with VMF, Ricecake will be highlighting the best of Vancouver’s Asian talent on two stages and throughout a night market on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Whether you’re coming for the live entertainment or the shopping, Ricecake is confident that you will be staying for the impeccable community vibes.

Friday, August 9th // Tee Noble’s Open Decks

Tierra is a DJ, Arc'Teryx BC ambassador and Bside Radio host born and raised on the traditional territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She hosts a monthly Open Decks series, making CDJs accessible to DJs of all levels and fostering a strong sense of community. For her curation with VMF, Tierra chose two DJs from Open Decks, Munro and Jefferson to showcase their talent.

Saturday, August 10th // dood’s dancefloor

DJ dood is a DJ and event producer performing at local clubs like Vantek, Village Studios and The Birdhouse and playing festivals like VMF and Bass Coast. dood is bringing you a full day of her fave femme DJs for her first installment of dood’s dancefloor; supplying you high energy house, disco and groovy techno. A special treat to see a handful of top tier DJs all in one place and for free!

Sunday, August 11th // VLACC Fiesta Plural and TROPA

The Vancouver Latin American Cultural Centre (VLACC) is excited to announce its collaboration with 2024 VMF, promising to bring an extra splash of fun to the festival's final day! Fiesta Plural is all about celebrating Latin American culture's cool, colourful vibes right here in Vancouver! Hosted by VLACC, this annual party is where young and upcoming Latinx artists get to showcase their incredible talents through dance, music, and visual art. But it's more than just a party; it's a deep dive into the vibrant world of Latin American arts. So, come hang out, discover new favourites, and celebrate the diversity that makes our city great!

TROPA is a Rio de Janeiro, Brazil based NGO focusing on empowering marginalized people in Rio and creating Canada/Brazil connections and awareness through music, art and celebration. TROPA creates a lively Brazilian Musical Parade, or BLOCO, which encourages everyone to participate by coming together in solidarity by feeling the heartbeat rhythm of Brazil.

The Promenade presented by Snapple Spiked

Located at the entrance of the festival, enjoy your stroll down the VMF Promenade, presented by Snapple Spiked. You will find a diverse collection of community, art, non-profit and vendor booths including Vancouver Co-op Radio, Tightrope Improve Theatre, The Nest Society and a carefully crafted selection of mouthwatering food and beverage trucks. There will be colourful shaded areas, seating, and places to chill for your crew. 


Oasis Garden presented by Granville Island Brewing

Relax and unwind in our Oasis Garden, a laid-back lounge offering shady seating, games and live entertainment on the Oasis Stage. Grab a drink at our mural painted bar featuring the newest products from Granville Island Brewing, and check out our Kids Zone with sandbox, art chalkboard and many other kids-centric activities.

Main Alley Connector

Connecting the Promenade, Oasis Garden and Zero Zone, stroll the connector for a chance to catch live mural art and roving performers.


Zero Zone presented by Rize

Get ready for an exciting new experience at VMF 2024! Introducing The Zero Zone, BC's first-of-its-kind “zero” bar and market concept. This unique outdoor lounge will feature craft zero-proof drinks, all served in a space made entirely from up-cycled and repurposed materials. At The Zero Zone, we're all about Zero Proof and Zero Waste!

Our non-alcoholic bar, will be crafted from a repurposed shipping container and designed by the VMF’s official Placemaking Partner Meanwhile, and wrapped in a mural by one of our festival artists. It will offer a variety of craft non-alcoholic beers, ciders, cocktails, and more.

But that’s not all! Explore our curated vendor markets where you'll find sustainable products and beautiful artworks. Visit us on Thursday and Friday to see selections from Got Craft, and on Saturday and Sunday for offerings from Make Good Party

Craft and Canvas Corner presented by BC Ale Trail

Attention craft beer lovers! The East Van breweries are making a grand return to VMF, and you won't want to miss it. Join us at the Craft and Canvas Corner on Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 8 PM for an unforgettable craft beer tasting experience featuring a line up of fantastic breweries. Breweries include: Parallel 49 Brewing Company, Slow Hand Beer Company, Luppolo Brewing Co., Strange Fellows Brewing, Faculty Brewing Co., Beva Brewing & Blending, Backcountry Brewing, Cannery Brewing, Brewing August,  plus more!

Thanks to BC Ale Trail, you'll get to sample brews from some of Mount Pleasant's local legends and other top-notch breweries. As you sip on your favorite craft beers, enjoy the live graffiti art around you, with walls being transformed as part of our 7th Annual Holden Courage Graffiti Jam.

Plus, we're teaming up with the local sustainability startup Sharewares to provide eco-friendly beer sampling cups that never enter the waste stream. Come for the beer, stay for the art, and join us in making a positive impact!

    • Terrain: Pavement, some areas are on a slant.

    • Mobility: All zones are wheelchair friendly. The upper and lower levels of the City Centre Artist Lodge are only accessible by stairwells.

    • Restroom Facilities: Gender-free washrooms, accessible stalls and baby change tables available.

    • Seating: A variety of different types of seating including bistro tables and chairs, picnic tables and seating blocks are located around the site.

    • Public Transportation: Located along the #3 bus at 6th, a 5 minute walk from Main & Broadway B-Line or a 10 minute walk from Main Street Science World Station.

    • Parking: Parking nearby will be challenging as there’s lots of construction and street closures. It’s advised to get dropped off, Evo, Uber, Cab or take public transit.

    • Furry Friends: Animals are welcome on our site.

    • Dietary: A variety of food trucks on site will cater to many different dietary restrictions. Outside food is welcome. Non-alcoholic beverages available at all bars. Non-Alc only bar available in Zero Zone. 

    • Sun/Heat Protection: A variety of shaded spaces can be found around the site. Keep yourself hydrated at our water bottle fill stations.

    • Lighting and Noise: Low-stim areas can be found around the site.
