The weapons employed by the agents in VALORANT have been manufactured by multiple different arms manufacturers. Besides these, some of the skins for each of the weapons have also been canonically showcased in use by various users in both the Alpha and Omega worlds.

Basic Weapons[]

The base 19 weapons were manufactured by 5 different companies, identifiable by the insignia of each company machined somewhere onto the weapon.[1] We learned the names of four of these through a series of playercards, released in the battlepasses of Episode 3: Act 2, Episode 3: Act 3, and Episode 4: Act 2. The fifth one, Frontier, had its name hinted with the Neo Frontier skinline[2] and explicitly confirmed later in a Discord QnA.[3]

Each company seems to manufacture weapons following some kind of doctrine or speciality. The 5 companies, an interpretation of their design philosophies and the weapons they manufacture are listed below.

Bulwark Armory[]

Bulwark Large

A company that specialises in weapons that are best used for point defence. They manufacture weapons that both enable suppressive fire, through fast-firing automatic weapons, and defeat it, using long-range precision weaponry.

  • Judge
  • Guardian
  • Phantom
  • Outlaw
  • Ares

Falcon Firearms[]

Falcon Large

A company that specialises in producing fast-firing automatic weaponry that is suitable for use at all ranges. What their weapons lack in punch they tend to make up in volume of fire.

  • Classic
  • Frenzy
  • Spectre
  • Bulldog
  • Odin

Teknika Firearms[]

Teknika Large

A company that specialises in producing weaponry best suited for precise mid to long-range combat. Their weapons tend to demand some patience and skill from their users, rewarding controlled fire and well-aimed shots.

  • Ghost
  • Stinger
  • Vandal
  • Operator

Frontier[]

A company that specialises in making weaponry best suited for home defence and sports shooting. Their designs are also reminiscent of weaponry widely used in the Old Wild West, possibly tapping into a sense of nostalgia.

  • Shorty
  • Sheriff
  • Bucky
  • Marshall

Kodiak Steel[]

Kodiak Large

A company whose speciality cannot be discerned as we only know of one of their products, the Melee. We can perhaps assume that they specialise in making steel-based close-combat weaponry and tools.

It should be noted that the design philosophies mentioned above are all speculation and have no reference to anything confirmed or insinuated by the dev team.

Chamber's Weapons[]

As a weapons designer by trade, Chamber has a personal custom arsenal that he makes use of and is able to call upon at any time through the use of his nanotechnology. We currently know of two such weapons in his arsenal - the Headhunter and the Tour de Force.

The nanoparticles which comprise his Tour de Force typically rest as the golden 'tattoos' on his skin, peeling off to form the weapon when he needs it[4]. While not explicitly confirmed, it is likely that his Headhunter (and any other weapons he made for personal use) function similarly.

Since Chamber used to be a weapons designer for Kingdom Defense, he is likely responsible for creating several other guns that are/were used by Kingdom.

Weapon Mods[]

Silencer

The silencer on the Ghost. Note the 'S' insignia of the unknown company.

The suppressors on the silenced weapons, namely the Ghost, Spectre and Phantom, all have another logo machined onto them, implying the existence of a sixth arms manufacturer. The company’s name and any other items they may have created are currently unknown.[1]

Force ATLAS Bulldog

The Force ATLAS Bulldog with a grenade launcher mod attached.

The Bulldogs employed by the Force ATLAS security teams during the events of the SHATTERED cinematic seem to have tac-rails below the barrel where the handrest would be. These rails allow for the attachment of launchers. These launchers can be ejected and replaced on the fly, allowing the user to be versatile in response to the demands of their situation. The manufacturers of these launchers are unknown. Likewise, whether the mods to the Bulldog were made by Force ATLAS or by another party is unknown.[5]

Weapon Skins[]

Some weapon skins have been showcased as being used in canonical content, specifically the cinematics, or are present in the game's maps. These skins are listed below.

The Agent Contract Pistols[]

The pistol skins from the agent contracts have been shown as existing in the universe. So far, we have seen 7 of these in the cinematics:

Recon[]

During her training sequence, Ω-Sage uses the Phantom and the butterfly knife from the Recon set during the REVELATION cinematic.[9] The set also has markings from another company- Connore Industries. Whether Connore Industries is responsible for manufacturing only the add-ons, machining the weapons with tac-rails or manufacturing the weapons entirely is unknown.

RDVR Phantom[]

This Phantom skin features in Deadlock’s agent-select screen. Its design is also reminiscent of the equipment and uniforms of the Ståljegers. It is implied that Chamber had a hand in designing and building the weapon.[12]

Kingdom[]

The Kingdom skins were shown in use in MYTHS. They are likely the same weapons with minor stylistic differences. While not seen in canonical content, seeing as the Kingdom skins are present it may be worth considering that the K/TAC skins may exist as well.

Black.Market[]

In the flashbacks, Omen uses the butterfly knife from the Black.Market set to try to kill Viper and in the climax the Boss uses it as a last resort during the RECKONING cinematic.[11] This leaves the possibility of the other weapons existing in-universe as well. It may be possible that the same manufacturers did not create the weapons in the set as the ones listed above.

Oni[]

Elements of the Oni skinline, namely the Oni Claw, the Onimaru Kunitsuna and a mask and banner in its design, are present in-universe.[11]

Gaia's Vengeance[]

Elements of the Gaia skinline, namely the Gaia's Wrath and a tree in its design, are present in-universe.[11][13]

Tigris[]

The Tigris Melee, the Hu Else, is visible in RECKONING.[11]

Sarmad[]

The Sarmad Melee, the Blade of Serket, is visible in RECKONING.[11]

Kuronami[]

The Kuronami Melee, the Kuronami no Yaiba, is visible in RECKONING.[11]

Piedra del Sol[]

The Piedra del Sol Melee, the Obsidiana, is visible in RECKONING.[11]

Imperium[]

The Imperium Melee, the Blade of Imperium, is visible in RECKONING.[11]

Reaver[]

The Reaver Melee, the Reaver Knife, is visible in a case in Abyss.[13]

Magepunk[]

The Magepunk Melee, the Magepunk Sparkswtich, is visible in a case in Abyss.[13]

ChronoVoid[]

The Chronovoid Melee, the Terminus A Quo, is visible in a case in Abyss.[13]

Genesis[]

The Genesis Melee, the Genesis Arc, is visible in a case in Abyss.[13]

Singularity[]

The Singularity Melee, the Singularity Knife, is visible in a case in Abyss.[13]

Radianite Entertainment System[]

Elements of the RES skinline, namely the games, are present in-universe.[14]

XERØFANG[]

Elements of the XERØFANG skinline, namely the finisher’s projection, are present in-universe.[15]

While we see the presence and use of the above equipment, it remains likely that all of these references are simply coincidences, easter eggs or nods to the in-game content.

Trivia[]

  • Frontier is the only company without a playercard to represent them.
  • It is vaguely implied in RECKONING that the Outlaw is a relatively new weapon only recently released in the market.
  • Chamber takes his craft seriously and it is implied that his opinion on the efficacy of weapons is respected within the Protocol.
    • Some of the banter between the agents showcase that they show interest in his weapons and even the possibility of commissioning him.[16][17][18]
    • Chamber seems to write reports on the weaponry used by the Protocol directly to Brimstone on their efficacy.[19]
  • The ChoronoVoid skinline's trailer is narrated by Harbor's VA, perhaps implying some form of canonicity. This canonicity has been confirmed from the the set's Melee being present in Abyss.[13] At the time however, this was confirmed as a coincidence by the dev team.[20]
  • The Neo Frontier’s theme is that of the past and future of weapon design. As such, it features weapons designed with these in mind. The set’s name also references the manufacturer it is based on- Frontier- and features 2 of their weapons- the Sheriff and the Marshall.[21] However, While the set is definitely canon-adjacent, its canonicity comes into question for 2 reasons which have contributed to it being omitted from the above list:
    • Neo Frontier also features skins for the Phantom and Odin, not weapons manufactured by Frontier. This could perhaps imply that Frontier may have an automatic rifle and a large gatling gun in their arsenal, but are not in common use and this assumption is uncertain at best.
    • The SHOWDOWN trailer, being fully represented through gameplay and with no animation, can be considered non-canonical.
  • Yoru's butterfly comb he used in RETAKE cinematic[22] and some playercards appear in VALORANT GO! VOL. 2 as a Melee.
  • Jett appears in the trailer for Ion 2022 skinline in futuristic gear. Though this appearance is mosty likely non-canon.
