About us
This is the showcase page for Women in Property covering the Lancashire and Cumbria area. With over 1,000 members nationally, at all stages of their career and in professions spanning law, contracting, design, consultancy, planning, transport, sustainability and more, the network is wide-reaching and hosts a spectrum of events from debates and skills workshops to networking and socials. As well as events, Women in Property has its own mentoring scheme and an acclaimed Student Awards programme every year. Women in Property creates opportunities, expands knowledge and inspires change for women working in the property and construction industry. We believe that success and its rewards should be founded on merit and expertise, rather than gender. We actively seek an industry that is balanced, diverse and inclusive, so we nurture girls aspiring to a career in the built environment sector, as well as supporting those in 'mid career' and at board level.

Thanks to everyone who came to our SOLD OUT event yesterday! Huge thanks too to Cassidy+Ashton Architects, Building Surveyors & Town Planners for sponsoring the event! John Chesworth started us off with the story behind the regeneration works. We then were joined on our walking tour by Nick Hague from MAPLE GROVE DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED (part of the Eric Wright Group ) who have carried out the fabulous Animate development. John then guided us around the Harris Quarter development site also taking in the plans for the Preston Youth Zone. We also really appreciated Julie Palmer MRTPI of Preston City Council for joining us and providing fascinating insights from the Council’s perspective. It’s all going to be amazing for the City, keeping so much of the history alive and bringing the centre together. #prestonregen #womeninpropertylancashireandcumbria #cassidy&ashton #dmhall
