Job Title: Senior HR Manager, England

SBG/SBU/Department: Across all SBG's/ Human Resources

Primary manager: HR Director, England

Matrix Manager: n/a

Direct reports: Regional HR Partners (6+ direct reports)

Job Purpose:

  • Lead a team of Regional HR Partners based in England
  • Support, guide and coach HR Partners to deliver excellence with their aligned client groups
  • Lead strategic and operational continuous improvement projects
  • Implement HR policies in accordance with HON corporate policies with the aim of continuous growth of employees’ performance and for the achievement of the company’s strategic objectives
  • Travel to England sites regularly, interacting with HR team members and key business stakeholders, particularly site leaders
  • Support, guide and coach Regional HR Partners with employee relations case management and relationship management with aligned client groups
  • Partner with HR CoEs as required focusing on excellence and HR customer service as 1 HR team
  • Support, guide and coach Regional HR Partners with LER/CLA matters
  • Support, guide and coach Regional HR Partners on embedding employee engagement initiatives with their aligned group and partnering with people managers on building/sustaining an agile high performing culture across England

Responsibilities

  • Critical part of the role is alsoaligning the available HR Partners resources under the One-Country HR model, monitoring their goals, performance and streamlining their work, in collaboration with guidance from the HR Director, England
  • Coordinate HR teams for all aligned client group entities in England; comply with corporate standard regulations, provide guidance for the local Regional HR Partners on all HR topics
  • Coach Regional HR Partners to design and execute strategic HR plan on a page for aligned client groups
  • Align business and HR strategy in highly matrixed global environment
  • Drive organizational effectiveness and change management initiatives
  • Establish and implement short-term and long-term strategies to drive business profitable growth and results
  • Support HR aspects of key business processes including Strategic Plan, Management Resource Review and Annual Operating Plan
  • Lead key HR processes including talent development, performance management, and compensation planning with support from the HR Centres of Excellence (COE)
  • Manage talent acquisition, assessment, development, and retention
  • Maintain/improve employee engagement and execute against labour and employee relations strategies
  • Lead organizational effectiveness (OEF) initiatives right and fast; enabling the business to meet financial commitments
  • Participate in NE or indeed Europe HR projects as needed

GENERIC Responsibilities

  • Fulfillment the daily activities (individuals or team activities), as well as the annual projects, according to the established performance level

Continuous improvement/ HOS

  • Responsible for kaizen process for the team
  • Contributes in an active way to the continuous improvement of department’s performance or company’s performance identifies constantly the opportunities of improvement for own activity and department’s activities (Kaizen ideas in accordance with the objectives of the company) and through coaching techniques
  • Participation to internal audit, third party, corporate, second party (clients, certification) as required
  • Performs gemba walks as required, when visiting ISC Sites

Communication and reporting

  • Utilises LSW daily as required, and revises its content on a quarterly basis
  • Participates to all the meetings which are necessary for this position (daily Tier meetings or weekly/monthly meetings, etc.)
  • Centralizes monthly data regarding department planning and achievements
  • Measure and reports daily/weekly/fortnightly/monhtly department performance ;

  • Daily key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Performing daily activities related to the areas of responsibility, according to the performance level established and regularly monitored by internal management tools ( eg Tier / Weekly / Monthly )

Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge

Education/Qualifications

  • University degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organization development or a related discipline
  • CIPD qualification (Ideally)

Experience

  • 10 years+ of progressive HR experience
  • Working for global corporate organization/s
  • Operating in a complex matrix environment
  • Employee Relations experience and case management
  • Experience managing a team directly or indirectly to complete tasks
  • Project management experience/capability, designing and executing strategic projects with multiple teams/stakeholders

Professional Skills And Knowledge

  • Strong ability to influence and coach leaders, including director level clients
  • Previous experience working in complex, global businesses that demonstrates an understanding of how to effectively manage/balance cultural and organizational dynamic nuances
  • Capability to quickly understand business objectives and partner effectively with business leaders to help them through HR solutions
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and tasks under tight timeframes
