Company Overview:

We are a start-up sales and marketing distribution company specializing in premium personal care products, luxury aromatic, and cosmetic products. Having secured exclusive distribution rights for a prestigious brand, we are focused on establishing a strong presence in the UK and EMEA markets, with plans for further expansion into additional territories.


Job Purpose:

This newly created role is pivotal to the establishment and growth of our company. The Head of Sales and Business Development will be responsible for all commercial activities and business development efforts to secure strategic partners and drive revenue growth. Initially, this will be a standalone role focusing on business development and commercial activities with the support of the brand's group operations based in Europe.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships and distribution agreements to enhance market penetration.
  • Drive business development activities, including identifying and acquiring new brands and product lines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, distributors, and industry partners.


Commercial Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to advance the company's mission, revenue, profitability, and market growth.
  • Create and manage go-to-market strategies, ensuring effective execution and performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.


Financial Management:

  • Full P&L responsibility, ensuring cost-effective operations and budget adherence.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare reports, and present findings to the executive team.
  • Develop and manage revenue generation strategies to achieve financial targets.


Sales and Marketing:

  • Lead sales initiatives to achieve growth targets, optimizing sales processes and performance.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives to promote brand awareness and drive sales.


Operational Coordination:

  • Coordinate with the brand's group operations based in Europe to ensure alignment and support for business activities.
  • Ensure smooth operation of sales and supply chain functions in collaboration with the group operations.
Hiring Criteria:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in luxury retail and commercial (distribution) business management.
  • Proven track record of achieving a minimum of 6% year-on-year turnover growth.
  • Extensive experience in business development, strategic planning, and financial management.
  • Candidates must come from a similar personal care, cosmetics, or beauty background with an existing contact base to open doors.


Education:

  • Business Degree or equivalent. Industry certifications and trainings are highly desirable.

  • Self-starter with strong entrepreneurial skills.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and excellent communication skills.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Well-groomed, confident, and charismatic individual.


Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Availability for travel (up to 70%).
  • Valid UK driving license; own car essential.
