I trained as an engineer and began my career in technology consulting with the Altran group in 1993. After 6 years, I became CEO of one of its subsidiaries, and 3 years later, CEO of the Scalian group. At Scalian, I led 3 strategic plans over 9 years, increasing sales from €20m to €70m and expanding from France to Europe and North America. My clients were in the aeronautics and space sectors, and I was involved in programs like Airbus' A380 and A350, Boeing's Dreamliner, and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Curiosity Mars exploration. In 2016, I created Finegan , a consultancy for the finance sector. We worked with clients such as BNP Paribas, SG, Groupe BPCE, ABN AMRO Bank N.V., AXA Investment Managers, Allianz etc. Our expertise ranged from compliance to digital transformation. In 6 years, Finegan 's turnover grew from €15m to €50m. I sold my shares to Andera Partners in 2022. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫? I get a certain satisfaction from having been an entrepreneur, from having created successful companies and from having surrounded myself with the best teams. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐎𝐘𝐂? Its team is both young and experienced. It's also an international team with an entrepreneurial spirit that has anticipated the needs of the PE market by offering an easy-to-use, innovative solution. Technological advancements then becomes existential to improve access, transparency, and efficiency to make these investments more broadly available. Private banks and wealth managers, but also the GPs, can leverage platforms like ROYC Group, to provide more tailored solutions to navigate this dynamic landscape. These developments will make private markets more sophisticated and diverse, becoming integral to global investment strategies and reshaping wealth management and asset allocation practices amidst evolving regulatory environments. With a solid basic education in Chemistry, Biomedicine, and Business, I have pretty much done all there is to do in professional life:   I have solid experience with increasing corporate responsibility in many disciplines: sales, marketing, manufacturing, R&D, finance, M&A, IPO, and corporate strategy. I have had several CEO positions over time, and 2024 is the 10th anniversary of my advisory firm offering services relevant to my experience as described. Important and very interesting research out from McKinsey & Company highlighting that US investment in intellectual property (IP) and equipment is double that of Europe per capita. In 2022, large US corporations devoted about €700 billion more to capital expenditure and R&D than European peers. And Europe’s venture capital assets under management are equivalent to one-quarter of the US total. Europe needs to remove well-known barriers to drive investments. Barriers include energy costs, talent shortages, and business and labor market regulation.
