As one of the biggest independently-owned garden centres in Yorkshire, you can enjoy spending time with us, browsing the extensive outdoor plant department, an enviable range of gift and home accessories as well as garden furniture, all you need to keep your garden looking great all year round and leading brands including Mountain Warehouse and Bonmarché. And a trip to Tong would not be complete without calling into either our relaxed new look Restaurant for a perfectly hand-crafted coffee, delicious cooked breakfast, daily special or tasty treat. Witness the spectacle as around 50 electric vehicles grace the car park, marking a significant stop in their 5-day, 1400+ mile 'e-Rally'. To add to the excitement, we are offering all our GREAT customers FREE EV CHARGING for the day with our 56 Compleo UK chargers! 🚗⚡ Not only that, but we will be joined by Riverside Volvo Wakefield and Luscombe MG as they showcase 5 electric vehicles, accompanied by industry experts who will be on hand ready to help you understand all things EV. We will also welcome representatives from Women Drive Electric who will be debunking myths and providing invaluable expert advice. We’re delighted to share the news that Yorkshire Children's Charity will be our Charity of the Year for 2024, following a unanimous team vote 💚 Through a series of fund-raising events and collection boxes at the tills, our teams at Yorkshire Garden Centres’ four sites at Tong, Tingley, Otley, and Bingley plus Dean’s of York and Scarborough hope to raise £20,000 for the independent charity that aims to transform childhoods and improve the lives of thousands of disadvantaged children in Yorkshire. “We are continuously blown away by the strength of the Yorkshire brand and our ability as a region to come together to do the right thing for children and young people who need our help. We've smashed our fundraising target for our 2023 Charity of the year, Yorkshire Air Ambulance! 💛 The team at Yorkshire Garden Centres is proud to share the news that we raised over £24,000 for our Charity of the Year, Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The teams at our four sites at Tong, Tingley, Otley and Bingley had aimed to raise £19,000 for the independent charity that relies solely on donations to provide its lifesaving rapid response emergency service, but we exceeded our target by over 27% to raise £24,253. Module 4 saw the completion of their formal training where they presented back to senior leaders in their area on their learning journey, their career aspirations and 1% savings ideas for the Group.
