Inspired by our RHS Chelsea Flower Show Garden, we are offering financial support to five community garden projects in the UK We will provide funding to support local groups in creating new community gardens or revitalizing existing ones. We aim to bring the beauty of the outdoors to the heart of communities across the UK, aligned to the beliefs of Octavia Hill, whose philosophy inspired our award-winning Chelsea Garden, that gardens & green spaces should be and can be for all. It is alarming that around 1 in 3 people in the UK lack access to nature-rich outdoor spaces near their homes, and in some deprived areas, there is no access to green spaces at all. To address this issue, we are offering a total of £10,000 worth of plants and garden care products to be distributed equally across five community gardens. Additionally, we will provide six hours of expert help and advice to ensure that these projects get off to a great start. Our support will continue over a year, with the hope that these gardens will bring the gift of fresh air and the joy of plants and flowers to the surrounding communities. To apply follow the application online (link in our bio). Entries close midnight 30th June Tag a community garden near you that might like to apply.
