Here's an update from our director, Robyn Knox, on how we're offering support to the community and voluntary sector in Southport, helping with the important work of supporting a community in shock after yesterday's horrific attack. #Southport
VCS Emergencies Partnership
Non-profit Organizations
A network of over 200 VCS organisations committed to a more person-centred approach to emergency planning and response.
About us
We are over 200 community and specialist organisations committed to working together in preparation for and response to major emergencies in the UK. Our network of organisations is committed to a more person-centred approach to emergency planning and response. By working better together, we aim to reduce the confusion and further trauma caused to individuals and communities by disconnected responses to emergencies. We exist to unlock the power of this partnership before, during and after an emergency by making the best use of our shared time and resources and bringing the voices of the local and national civil society organisations to the forefront for the development of greater national resilience.

We are delighted to see this important project taking place and look forward to seeing the outcomes which we hope will benefit our whole network!
We are super excited to be building on our current work with London Plus on a new project, together with the London Communities Emergency Partnership (LCEP). We’ll be undertaking research with LCEP partners and wider London Resilience colleagues to explore how to better connect the statutory and #voluntary and community sectors in responding to an #emergency. We’ll be talking with central government, local authority partners and #emergencyresponse agencies alongside #charities and #community groups, to understand their various needs and the current challenges, to develop options and recommendations for improved mobilisation and coordination of support. https://lnkd.in/ewtVXZuX
