UNEP-WCMC’s data experts Laura Nery and Rita Trabulo, in collaboration with Syver Petersen and Ragnvald Larsen from the Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA) and with support from Acácio Chechene from Wildlife Conservation Society Mozambique, conducted a training in GIS and data management workshop in Maputo, Mozambique 🇲🇿 , earlier last week. 🎉 The 3-day workshop covered a range of spatial data management topics, including the main concepts of GIS as well as practical exercises using the QGIS software. The workshop was attended by 20 technicians from different agencies across the Ministry of Land and Environment and the Ministry of Sea, Inland and Fisheries. The workshop presented an opportunity for technicians to learn and enhance their skills, share experiences and build a community of QGIS users. Find below some pictures from the workshop 📸 ⤵ The project is under the Oceans for Development Programme funded by Norad - Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation
