Reminiscing on an amazing Euros watch-along! Last Wednesday, we collaborated with Brown Girl Sport to open our offices for the Euros semi-final. Brown Girl Sport is an online platform and community founded to celebrate South Asian women and girls in sport and together we set up an alcohol-free space at the studio to connect, eat, and watch football. The turnout was amazing, the food was great, and the vibes were immaculate. Thank you to Abi Patel and the SI Diversity team for their great work setting up the event!

🏆 2024 Develop:Star Award winners 🏆   It's an honour to be recognised at the Develop:Brighton Awards this week, toasting three decades of achievement and contribution to our industry, thanks to our incredible peers. We're so proud of our entire team and the journey that we're on. Here's to the next 30 years...

So proud of the entire team at Sports Interactive and all those who have been on the journey with us over the last 30 years. We couldn't have won this without all of you - even those we didn't like very much 😅 When Ov & Paul started this all back in the 90's there was no idea that we would become what we have done. All of us were kids having fun, making games for us that it just so happened there was an audience for. There were no 5 year plans, honestly there wasn't even a 1 year plan, but we learnt as we went and seem to have done alright, growing organically to help us achieve our goals of making the best football management simulations on the planet. Gutted that I wasn't there myself to pick up the award and share some words of gratitude (I've got Covid) but Matt Carroll did a brilliant job, as he always does. New Signing from #MERKYFC 🤝 We're delighted to have Lamarr C. join us on an Internship from Merky FC last month, the first collaboration between this partnership. Lamarr will gain experience across the studio, spending time with different departments - first, making an impact in the Marketing team as we approach the next era of FM.

Proud to extend our partnership with AFC Wimbledon into the 2024/25 season. Even more proud to give this front-of-shirt space to another longstanding partner of ours in War Child, as they promote their mission to protect, educate and stand up for the rights of children affected by war. “Despite it being a year where we’ve changed our studio and game logos, our overriding feeling was that War Child needs the promotion for their work more than we do. At SI, we try to consider the bigger picture in everything we do and that’s why we’ve handed over the front of the shirt to their logo rather than ours."

This time last year we released a Development Update announcing details on not just FM24, but also much further ahead. After a record-breaking cycle, today we peeled back the curtain on our next era: Football Manager 25. Learn about our refined approach, difficult decisions made and a brand-new user interface. A lovely surprise package of Pride cupcakes were delivered to the Studio this week organised by our incredible LGBTQ+ group, baked by the talented people at Rachael's Kitchen 🧁 This group has created a space for LGBTQ+ team members to connect and, this month, they’ve collaborated with our Film and Book Club committees to offer media recommendations that celebrate Pride and offer a deeper understanding. With an eye on future initiatives and events, we look forward to seeing what the group can achieve next, with the support of the wider team.

Last week we celebrated two fantastic achievements for Football Manager 2024!⚽ Our recent collaboration with Xbox on 'Everyday Tactician', a competition and content series offering the chance for anybody playing FM24 on the Xbox Game Pass to carry out a challenge and win a chance to work at Bromley Football Club as part of the coaching staff, won the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Grand Prix Award. Created in partnership with Xbox and McCann London, Everyday Tactician fought off strong competition to take home the award, and is made up of a 3-part behind the scenes series about Nathan Owolabi's experience working at the club. During his time there, Bromley managed to achieve promotion to the EFL (English Football League) for the first time in its 132-year history! 🦁 TITANIUM 🦁 Last night our team collected a mighty great Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity’s Palais, for a mighty great piece of creativity called “The Everyday Tactician” for #xbox. An innovative solution to an Xbox brief, that saw Nathan Owolabi take Bromley Football Club’s success to new heights. Their win at #Wembley only a month ago meant they joined League Two, their first ever, only promotion since the Club’s inception 132 years ago. An incredible achievement, and a great lesson to us all. If there’s one takeaway? Look for talent in interesting, rich places such as gaming where talent thrives in unexpected ways. Incredible humans are out there and they too could have a monumental impact on not only your brand, but their own brand and life story.
