We're delighted to have supported the recent submission of Ireland's first offshore wind planning application in over 20 years 🌟 Supporting our client Oriel Windfarm Limited, a joint venture between Parkwind NV and the ESB, we delivered project management, planning, environmental assessment and appropriate assessment services. Oriel Offshore Wind Farm is a critical renewable energy project for Ireland's decarbonisation and security of energy supply. Located off the coast of County Louth, 25 wind turbines with a maximum export capacity of 375 MW will be developed, capable of powering approximately 300,000 households. If planning is granted, construction could begin in 2025 and become operational in 2028, making it Ireland’s first operational commercial-scale offshore wind farm. The High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA) is progressing the Sydney to Newcastle High Speed Rail Business Case, with RPS playing a pivotal role in this transformative project. HSRA awarded all eight work packages to successful expert advisors. Alongside our esteemed partners, we’ll be helping with the vision to connect Australia’s cities and regions. RPS will support HSRA by leading the business case management for this landmark initiative, supported by our partners RP Infrastructure Infrastracture and Etheus. The business case lays down the foundational elements of the network including the corridor alignment, station locations, fleet, cost estimate, and construction timelines. Kicking off our project showcase series, today we're shining the spotlight on one of Birmingham's largest residential regeneration sites – Port Loop. As project manager, we're supporting Places for People and Urban Splash to transform a 43-acre brownfield site into an urban island community, housing 1,150 new homes. We're currently managing the delivery of Phase 4 – 331 build-to-rent apartments, 2.1 acre public park, and a new canal bridge and towpath.
