About us
NPC is the think tank and consultancy for the charity sector. Our mission is to help charities, foundations, philanthropists, impact investors, social enterprises, corporates, and the public sector to maximise social impact in the lives of the people they serve. Our consulting services help charities and funders find solutions to the challenges they face, whether they are trying to work more effectively, exploring new ways of working, or setting out to prove their worth. All our advice is backed up by over ten years of research, and draws on our think tank work to transform the charity sector.

Our world is rife with inequality. As we act to mitigate and adapt to climate change we have an breathtaking opportunity to address historic inequalities and avoid new ones. The starting point is understanding and calling out those inequalities. Together we can create a fairer, healthier and more sustainable future for everyone. Through the #EveryonesEnvironment programme, I have had the pleasure of working with some inspirational thought leaders in the sector. Graham Duxbury at Groundwork, Jabeer Butt at Race Equality Foundation, Kamran Mallick at Disability Rights UK, Meryl Davies in her time at Re-engage, David Reilly at The Poverty Alliance to mention just a handful of NPC (New Philanthropy Capital)'s amazing partners. Time and time again, research briefings and conversations with people affected (https://lnkd.in/eryxxRit) have shown that intersectionality and inequality sit at the heart of how we are affected by our changing environment and related policy. Just imagine the positive change we can create if we collaborate to address social and environmental issues together. https://lnkd.in/gznXB-yF

"Charities already work with the people who are most impacted by environmental change in the UK, placing them in a really strong position to help to raise their voices, needs and concerns" NPC (New Philanthropy Capital)'s Liz Gadd explains on the Third Sector Podcast why most charities can make a bigger environmental difference through their mission than by focusing on carbon emissions. 🎧 Listen to the full episode: "Charities and strategic climate action", or read the transcript.
