The SPAR Northern Guild took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday 13th July raising money for Marie Curie UK! 🙌💛 Warm and cloudy conditions ensured it was perfect weather for a great day out in the Yorkshire Dales, and it was a sea of yellow as walkers in their special branded T-shirts tackled the 24-mile route with 1,600m of ascent. Good luck to all the walkers in the SPAR Northern Guild taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge tomorrow for SPAR UK national charity partner Marie Curie UK! 💛🌼 More than 150 employees from the James Hall Group of Companies, including Clayton Park Bakery, Fazila Foods, Ann Forshaw’s Alston Dairy, and G.A.P. Convenience Distribution Ltd will be joined on the trek by retail teams from our G&E Murgatroyd SPAR company-stores division and independent SPAR retailers. This week we have launched a campaign within the James Hall Group of Companies celebrating 50 years of the Health and Safety at Work Act since the legislation came into force in 1974. 🦺👷 Representatives from across the Group were joined by invited external guests who support our work in this field for the launch at our Bowland View SPAR Distribution Centre. Included in those were guest speakers and close friends Jason Anker and Sean Toon who delivered powerful personal accounts on life following Jason’s workplace accident in 1993.
