Thrilled to officially announce our new partnership with British Rowing! Based on a shared vision to secure a clean and thriving environment in and around the UK’s rivers and waterways, we will be providing over 130 clubhouses across the country with our multi-award-winning products. They will be using them primarily to clean their boats, in addition to operations in the clubhouses themselves. River and waterway health is the primary focus of this partnership, and British Rowing was keen to work with a business which could not only provide them with effective products but also products that massively reduce harm to both people and planet. In turn, we're so proud to be working with such a progressive sporting body who are embedding sustainable practices across their entire operation. It's a match made in heaven! Cyrus took us on a tour of his charming new East London restaurant, highlighting the unique furniture crafted from second-hand, refurbished materials by his talented son. But Cyrus’s commitment to sustainability extends far beyond the decor. As the Ocean’s Ambassador for Marine Conservation Society, he’s passionate about protecting the aquatic life on his doorstep. It’s London Climate Action Week, and we want to talk about carbon savings and accountability. We are SO proud to report that in the last 12 months, our customers have saved over THREE THOUSAND tonnes of carbon (when compared with using conventional cleaning products). This is equivalent to some pretty amazing numbers when looking at car miles or cotton t-shirts being produced - to put things into perspective. We’re able to calculate these numbers with our NEW CARBON REPORT. This report is the culmination of years of research into our supply chain & business operations. It calculates the total carbon impact of our all products, right down to the manufacturing process, packaging and even the ingredients, and then compares them to industry averages. We're super proud of it, not only because it is an incredibly useful data point for our customers, but also it keeps us accountable for our own footprint, and what we can do to reduce it. Initiatives like Quiver , an emissionless delivery service in London which saves an average of 2.2kg per delivery, is just one of the ways we’re bringing our emissions down. We hope to introduce more examples like this soon. We want to thank all our customers, big and small, for being part of the change with us. With over 25 years of mastering Indian cuisine, Cyrus made history when catering for the late Queen for her Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Beyond his royal connections and extensive expertise, Cyrus has been with us from the start, over 16 years ago. Today, in his latest venture—a brand-new restaurant in East London, Cafe Spice Namaste—he remains loyal to our eco-friendly cleaning products. Cyrus’s journey in hospitality, coupled with his dedication to sustainability, makes him one of our absolute favourites, and we're so honoured he agreed to be our latest brand ambassador and face of his favourite product: Washing Up Liquid. This month, join us for exclusive interviews from Café Spice Namasté, his new East London restaurant serving incredible (and we know from personal experience) Parsi food. A couple of months ago, we were thrilled to be the FIRST ecological hygiene partners at International Salon Culinaire as part of the Hotels, Restaurants and Catering Show (HRC) 2024. A brilliant few days meeting chefs who had flown in from all around the globe to compete in one of the oldest and most prestigious cheffing competitions in the world. We judged each competition from a hygiene perspective and chose a winner from each heat. Watch the video below to see what the team got up to on the day! It’s the World Health Organization's Food Safety Day, and we want to talk about kitchen hygiene and safety regulations. Did you know that 1 in 10 people worldwide fall ill from contaminated food every year? And that over 200 diseases are caused by eating contaminated food. It goes without saying that we are HUGELY passionate about providing safe and effective products for our professional customers in the food industry - however, something we don’t talk enough about is the labelling for our Commercial range in line with food safety. Designed with ease and accessibility in mind, our products do exactly what they say on the tin. Given we are a brilliant melting pot of cultures here in the UK, we wanted to ensure that those who don’t have English as a first language could easily identify what they need to use and where. They are also predominantly colour-coded in line with BICSc regulation, which is an internationally recognised set of standards designed by the British Institute of Cleaning Science to illustrate which coloured products should be used in which areas. For those playing at home: Red (high-risk areas - washrooms and toilets), Green (general food and bar), Blue (general areas), Yellow (clinical use & specialist). On this UN World Environment Day, we thought we’d focus on some success stories from when we humans have dedicated our time to restoring rather than destroying. “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” - this year’s theme is land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. Over 40% of the world’s land is classified as degraded, directly affecting half the world’s population. Land restoration is a key pillar of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world. And while we need urgent action now - years ago really - and it does feel like we’re losing hope, it’s important to remember what impact we can have when we work together.
