Early life work-experience is invaluable, giving students the chance to understand how businesses operate and help them find their ideal future career. This year, as part of our commitment to helping the next generation, 9 students from London and Manchester joined the Cynergy Bank and Cynergy Business Finance teams in our offices for a week of hands-on work experience.   The students were each assigned a mentor and tasked with different projects to complete across the business, culminating in a final presentation at the end of the week. Each student rose to the challenge, drawing on their experience shadowing our colleagues, taking part in meetings, and working collaboratively.   Well done to everyone! We are thrilled to announce that we've been nominated by the EY Foundation for the Southern Employer Impact Awards! The EY Foundation is an independent charity supporting young people from low-income backgrounds in securing paid work experience, employability skills training, and mentoring. This award recognises employer partners that have promoted and partnered with the Foundation's work, including The Chartered Banker Institute and EY Foundation's ‘Smart Futures’ programme - which we've been a part of for the past few years. This year we hosted four young people across our London and Manchester offices. They will also each have a mentor for the next 9 months to help guide them in their next steps- a special nod of appreciation to Lisa Cleaver, Sukhi B, and Ian Rolls for volunteering as mentors this year! How far would you go to raise money for a cause you believe in?   Last week, our very own JANE PALMER and Simon Gunnell tested this question, taking a leap as part of the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice's Skydive Day!   We’re in awe of their gravity defying efforts to support the great work our #charity partners do to help children with life-threatening or life-limiting conditions make the most of every day.   Their bravery has paid off, raising nearly £5000 in total including match funding by Cynergy Bank. Well done both!
