Everyone can be a leader but you don't have to be one to get involved with the #ACFLeadersForum2024. Our learning gallery is a digital exhibition space offering the opportunity for all staff and trustees of our member organisations to share their knowledge, ideas and learning with event attendees. Share a learning story - what you wish you knew before or what you want other funders to know now - on a single PowerPoint slide as a 'case study' (example template in the image below) or 'flash insight'. Further details and PowerPoint templates are available on our website, here: https://lnkd.in/emv-q7-P. Just remember to send your completed templates to acf@acf.org.uk by Friday 16 August.

The Charity Investment Governance Principles (CIGP) are a new tool being developed to provide help and practical support for trustees, staff and others to tackle challenges relating to charity investment governance. The Principles draw on the experiences of charities across England and Wales, reflecting the outcomes of the Butler-Sloss legal case and the Charity Commission for England and Wales’ updated CC14 guidance. A consultation running until Wednesday 7 August is seeking responses from charities across England and Wales, and individuals and organisations with an interest in charity investment governance. This is an opportunity for charity representatives to provide feedback prior to publication of the Principles in the autumn. English: https://lnkd.in/eZJDkyW6 Welsh: https://lnkd.in/eTC-67X8

We are delighted to see Stephanie Peacock appointed as the minister for sport, media, civil society and youth. Philanthropic foundations are crucial to the health and diversity of civil society, providing grants to address societal need. At this pivotal moment for the sector and communities across the country, we look forward to collaborating closely with the new minister.
