Highlights of the previous year Lok Sabha elections in the constituency:In the 2019 elections, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) candidate Raveendranath Kumar emerged victorious in the Theni Lok Sabha constituency with 5,04,813 votes. The Indian National Congress (INC) candidate, EVKS Elangovan, was the runner-up with 4,28,120 votes.
Similarly, in 2014, the AIADMK candidate, R. Parthipan, won the seat with 5,71,254 votes. The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) candidate, Pon Muthuramalingam, secured the second position with 2,56,722 votes.
Vote share of major political parties in previous Lok Sabha electionsIn 2019, the AIADMK candidate secured 43.02% of the votes, while the INC candidate garnered 36.48%. The voter turnout in 2019 elections was 75.27%
