Meghalaya assembly speaker Thomas A Sangma visited the Bharti Institute of Public Policy at Indian School of Business to review the progress of the Meghalaya Data Portal, a sub-set of the India Data Portal, aimed at enhancing data accessibility and supporting evidence-based policymaking.

SHILLONG: Meghalaya assembly speaker Thomas A Sangma on Thursday took stock of the progress in the development of the Meghalaya Data Portal (MDP). He visited the Bharti Institute of Public Policy (BIPP) of Indian School of Business (ISB), which provided him with updates on the same.
The MDP is a sub-set of the India Data Portal (www.indiadataportal.com) and is a significant step towards enhancing data accessibility and promoting evidence-based policymaking.

The BIPP team that met the speaker included policy director Aarushi Jain, associate director Deepti Soni and project lead Amrita Chakraborty.
“The team apprised speaker Sangma of the progress made in the Meghalaya Legislative Research Fellowship,” an official statement issued by the Meghalaya legislative assembly said.
