GURGAON: A 17-year-old student died when the car driven by him overturned after hitting the divider on Atul Kataria chowk flyover on Monday. Police did not register a case as the family of the victim did not lodge any complaint.
According to Sector-14 inspector, Anil Kumar, the victim, who was a high school student, was travelling from his house in Sector-14 to attend tuition class at Udyog Vihar at around 11.15am.
"The i10 car hit the divider on Atul Kataria chowk flyover and overturned on the opposite half of the road. Alerted by the passersby, police reached the spot and shifted the teeanger to civil hospital where he was decared dead," the inspector said.
The student's father, Manish Sharma, told police that the youngster had taken the vehicle out without his knowledge. "No one else was injured and no other vehicle was involved in the accident. Family of the victim also did not raise any suspicion about his death. We have handed over the body to the family after the autopsy. No case has been registered," the inspector said.
