  • 𝗣𝗜𝗟 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 🌱💡 With sustainability at the core of PIL’s business, we are committed to taking concrete action to drive a greener future. Let’s see how our teams around the world have put on their Future-Focused lens to groom more green fingers and cultivate a green mindset among our colleagues! 👨🌾👩🌾 At the UAE, the team collaborated with the Dubai Municipality to organise a workshop on indoor gardening for our local colleagues. At this informative session, our PIL UAE colleagues learnt more about the different types of indoor plants and their associated health benefits, as well as how to grow them successfully and healthily, so that they can do so in their own homes! 🧒🌲 Driving the green initiative one step further, our colleagues from Guangzhou, China brought along their kids for a tree-planting activity on 1 June. This day is also Children’s Day in China, making it all the more meaningful to instill awareness among the young ones on this special occasion regarding the importance of environmental protection. 🙋♀️🌳 Over in Jordan, the team also contributed towards creating a greener environment by planting trees at a local forest. Our Jordanian colleagues planted a total of 30 trees within a day’s work, which is reflective of PIL’s commitment in driving environmental sustainability where we operate. 💕🌐 At PIL, we are heartened to see how our teams around the world are also aligned with our Future-Focused value with their green initiatives. On this sustainability journey, we will not stop our efforts in inculcating a green attitude and minimising our environmental footprint! #FutureFocused #Sustainability #DrivingConnectivity #PIL #PacificInternationalLines

  • 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗵 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Recently, five of our Management Associates Nerin Khaira, Sherlyn Tay (IHRP-CA), Bryan Tan, Jing Fa Toh and jedrek koh, had the once-in-a-life-time opportunity to sail on board our vessel Kota Megah from Singapore to Shanghai. This is a part of PIL’s unique Shipboard Attachment programme which lets our shore colleagues experience the life as a seafarer! 🚢💡 During this 9-day journey, the five of them got a deeper insight on container vessel operations, including safety procedures. Following which, they also had a glimpse of an overseas working experience as they immersed themselves in the business activities of our offices in China. ⬇📝 Let’s relive their 9-day journey through Nerin’s reflections below!

“I’m going on a ship!” 🚢 I am so grateful for the opportunity to sail to Shanghai onboard Kota Megah. This shipboard attachment gave me an insight into what life onboard a container vessel is really like. We were given tours of the bridge, engine room, galley and deck both at port and at sea. We even had the opportunity to experience drills where we were taught not just what to do in an emergency but also how to operate the lifeboat. We spent a majority of our time on the bridge where we had the opportunity to learn more about navigation and leadership onboard our vessels. Time passed too quickly onboard as we berth in Shanghai on the following Friday morning. In Shanghai, we were welcomed and taken care of by our colleagues in PIL’s China Regional Office and Shanghai Local Office. We were given an insight into how Regional and Local Offices work hand-in-hand to carry out daily tasks. We even caught up with other colleagues in Shanghai on their third rotation as part of PIL’s Management Associate programme, giving us an insight into what to look forward to on our overseas rotation! I am beholden for the hospitality from the crew onboard Kota Megah and our colleagues in Shanghai. A big thank you to Wan Qin Chua, Emily and Philip for organising and planning, making this shipboard attachment a smooth sailing one (pun intended)! And thank you to Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd for the opportunity! #maritime #drivingconnectivity

Li Fuqiang, the Master of Kota Kamil, immediately directed our ship off its original course to the location of the distressed fishing boat, where our crew found two fishermen who were severely ill. Working closely with the local authorities, the Kota Kamil crew quickly assisted with the emergency evacuation of these two fishermen and brought them to a Sri Lankan naval vessel 140nm away where they received medical attention. Kota Kamil has since resumed its voyage to Singapore. 👏👍 Kudos to Capt. Li and the entire crew of Kota Kamil for providing prompt assistance to the distressed fishermen! Your admirable act is testament to PIL's 'People-Centric' value, in which we spare no effort in ensuring the safety of life at sea! This shipment, consisting of spare parts needed to assemble over 60 heavy duty trucks, will then begin their voyage to their final destination of Durban in South Africa. 🌐🤝 This block train service is a part of PIL Intermodal Services in which we leverage our extensive network to provide point-to-point, integrated transportation solutions to meet our customers' requirements. Working closely with our partners, our team ensured that this massive shipment of spare parts was carefully packed straight into containers at the inland port. This helps to safeguard the integrity of the cargo during transportation, as the containers can then be directly loaded onto the vessel before carrying on their journey to Durban. 👷♂️ 💪🚀 By constantly "Pushing Boundaries" and coming up with innovative solutions, PIL is steadfast in our commitment of "Driving Connectivity" for our customers and the world. In addition to being a one-stop, fuss-free, end-to-end solution that helps our customers to save time and resources, this block train service also demonstrates how PIL can boost the connectivity of inland locations like Inner Mongolia and support the economic growth of the area! 💰📈 #PIL #PacificInternationalLines #DrivingConnectivity #IntermodalService #PushingBoundaries

  • 𝗣𝗜𝗟 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 🚢🗓 Today is the Day of the Seafarer! Established by the International Maritime Organization, 25 June is designated to recognise the unique contribution made by seafarers from all over the world to international seaborne trade and the world economy, as well as to salute all seafarers for the risks and personal costs they bear while on their jobs. 🗣💬 Lars Kastrup, CEO of PIL said, “We continually engage with our seafarers onboard and hear from them personally on their needs so we can better look after their welfare, which is very close to our hearts and close to our values in PIL. I wish all our seafarers a happy seafarers day onboard our ships around the world or at home. Thank you for all your support.” 🎉🎁 As part of the celebration to recognise our seafarers, Lars paid a special visit to our vessel Kota Layang, where he checked in with the crew members on their well-being! Lars also presented a token of appreciation to each and every one of the crew as part of the visit to show PIL's gratitude for their hard work. 🦺👷♂️ With the theme for this year's Day of the Seafarer being "Safety at Sea", Lars was briefed on board by Capt. ChuXing Peng, Deputy General Manager of our Quality, Safety, Security, and Environment Division, on how PIL ensures our vessels are compliant to the highest industry safety standards. Lars also spoke to the crew of Kota Layang to find out how they safeguard working environments and vessel operations in their daily routines. ⛑🌐 As our seafaring colleagues dedicate themselves to "Driving Connectivity" for our customers and the world, their safety and well-being are of utmost importance to us. With our "People-Centric" commitment, PIL provides welfare schemes for seafarers, including initiatives to cultivate a positive shipboard culture and boost connectivity with families. 🙇♀️🙇♂️ Whether at sea or on shore, we go the extra mile to make sure all our colleagues are well taken care of! On this special day, we would like to say a big "Thank You!" to all our seafaring colleagues, and we are truly grateful for your unwavering devotion to keeping PIL sailing smoothly! #ThankYou #DayoftheSeafarer #PacificInternationalLines #PIL #DrivingConnectivity #PeopleCentric

  • 𝗣𝗜𝗟 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 🏫💼 Supporting the initiative by the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE) to foster more school-industry partnerships, PIL is pleased to welcome students from Beatty Secondary School into the shipping world through an industry attachment programme! 🙋♀️⚓ Earlier this month, the programme at PIL kickstarted with the students visiting our head office in Singapore where they began their first exposure to the maritime industry. At this orientation session, the young talents had the valuable opportunity to interact with leaders from PIL, including Executive Chairman Mr S.S. Teo, and got a better understanding of the shipping industry. 💡🚀 With this newly-gained knowledge, we then challenged the students to come up with innovative ideas in three different projects. Collaborating with our colleagues who will act as their mentors, the students stand to gain real-life work experiences over the next 8 months as they tackle problem statements in the areas of sustainability, container design solutions, as well as branding and marketing. 🚢👨🎓 Putting on our Future-Focused lens, PIL is committed to investing in the industry's future by building up a strong talent pipeline. Through our "People-Centric" initiatives like this attachment programme, we share with the younger generation the multitude of opportunities in the maritime sector, and hopefully inspire them to become future talents of the shipping world. As the students begin to work on their projects, we look forward to hearing their brilliant ideas in time to come! #PacificInternationalLines #PIL #DrivingConnectivity #PeopleCentric #FutureFocused

  • 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 🚁🚢 PIL is “Pushing Boundaries” once again with another successful project cargo shipment. This time round, we have successfully transported a helicopter from Hong Kong to Singapore! 👷♂️📝 On 19 June, a light helicopter was successfully loaded onto our vessel Kota Puri as an out-of-gauge cargo at Kwai Chung Container Terminal III in Hong Kong. Behind the scenes are meticulous preparations by our team across various departments to design the loading plan, coordinate operation details, and communicate with relevant partners to ensure the safe transportation of this oversized cargo to Singapore. 💪✅ Since the launch of PIL’s Global Project Cargo & Special Cargo Desk in the second half of 2023, the team has successfully transported dozens of large-scale project cargo, including yachts, transformer containers, heavy machinery and equipment, and other large vehicles. With this successful shipment, we have proven once again that PIL is capable of transporting beyond just containers. 🙋♂️🙋♀️ We are constantly “Pushing Boundaries” to come up with innovative solutions, and we are “People-Centric” in going the extra mile to fulfil our customers’ various needs! We are PIL! #PIL #PacificInternationalLines #PushingBoundaries #PeopleCentric #DrivingConnectivity #Breakbulk #Logistics #ProjectCargo

  • 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 🚢💡 Putting on our Future-Focused lens to engage our youths and ignite an appreciation for the maritime industry in the younger generation, PIL recently collaborated with Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers Singapore (SNAMES) to bring a group of youths on an journey through Singapore's maritime heritage! 👦🧒⚓ On 15 June, 22 buddy volunteers from PIL and SNAMES accompanied over 40 underprivileged youths from Singapore on a fun-filled afternoon to the Singapore Maritime Gallery, where they learnt about the history of #MaritimeSG and the vital role it plays in the nation's progress. This was followed by a ferry ride to visit Raffles Lighthouse, where the group had the rare and immersive opportunity to explore this iconic landmark and witness for themselves Singapore's maritime legacy in action! 🙋♀️🙋♂️ Throughout the excursion, our buddy volunteers also acted as a beacon of light for the youths, sharing more about their work experiences and answering questions that the youth might have about the maritime world. 🤝💕 At PIL, we are committed to inspiring and nurturing talents for the future of the shipping industry. However, our efforts alone are limited. By working hand in hand with like-minded partners such as SMF and SNAMES, we can multiply our reach and make a bigger impact to our community! And hopefully, such "People-Centric" initiatives can inspire more young ones to join us on board this dynamic industry! #PacificInternationalLines #PIL #DrivingConnectivity #PeopleCentric #FutureFocused #Maritime
