Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd’s Post

𝗣𝗜𝗟 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 🚢🗓 Today is the Day of the Seafarer! Established by the International Maritime Organization, 25 June is designated to recognise the unique contribution made by seafarers from all over the world to international seaborne trade and the world economy, as well as to salute all seafarers for the risks and personal costs they bear while on their jobs. 🗣💬 Lars Kastrup, CEO of PIL said, “We continually engage with our seafarers onboard and hear from them personally on their needs so we can better look after their welfare, which is very close to our hearts and close to our values in PIL. I wish all our seafarers a happy seafarers day onboard our ships around the world or at home. Thank you for all your support.” 🎉🎁 As part of the celebration to recognise our seafarers, Lars paid a special visit to our vessel Kota Layang, where he checked in with the crew members on their well-being! Lars also presented a token of appreciation to each and every one of the crew as part of the visit to show PIL's gratitude for their hard work. 🦺👷♂️ With the theme for this year's Day of the Seafarer being "Safety at Sea", Lars was briefed on board by Capt. ChuXing Peng, Deputy General Manager of our Quality, Safety, Security, and Environment Division, on how PIL ensures our vessels are compliant to the highest industry safety standards. Lars also spoke to the crew of Kota Layang to find out how they safeguard working environments and vessel operations in their daily routines. ⛑🌐 As our seafaring colleagues dedicate themselves to "Driving Connectivity" for our customers and the world, their safety and well-being are of utmost importance to us. With our "People-Centric" commitment, PIL provides welfare schemes for seafarers, including initiatives to cultivate a positive shipboard culture and boost connectivity with families. 🙇♀️🙇♂️ Whether at sea or on shore, we go the extra mile to make sure all our colleagues are well taken care of! On this special day, we would like to say a big "Thank You!" to all our seafaring colleagues, and we are truly grateful for your unwavering devotion to keeping PIL sailing smoothly! #ThankYou #DayoftheSeafarer #PacificInternationalLines #PIL #DrivingConnectivity #PeopleCentric
