Accountability to Affected People and Community Engagement (AAP-CE) Working Group

The Pakistan Accountability to Affected People and Community Engagement (AAP-CE) Working Group was established under the auspices of the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) in September 2022. The aim of the AAP-CE WG is to support collective approaches for engagement with affected people, communities, and local actors to ensure a more principled, effective, and accountable humanitarian response to the monsoon floods. The AAP-CE Working Group is guided by the 2022 Pakistan Floods Response Plan which includes AAP as a priority area of focus. In 2023, the AAP-CE Working Group is co-chaired by ACTED and IFRC, with secretariat support provided by OCHA. The AAP-CE Working Group meets on a monthly basis. The AAP-CE Working Group engages closely with organisational and response decision-makers and other relevant coordination structures such as the HCT, Inter-Sector Coordination Group (ISCG), sectors, working groups, and PSEA Network.
