Disappointed

I’ve been listening to Mari’s podcast for awhile now and been following her for years. I usually love the episodes but the one put out July 1st about Ozempic and Heath care industry corruption was jaw dropping. At one point there was a discussion about natural birthing and Mari specifically said she “notices a difference between the health of someone born naturally and someone born via C-section” it was very ignorant… some women (my mother) did not have the option of having a natural birth? My heart rate was slowly declining and she’d been pushing for hours? Save the baby or what? Very ignorant and upsetting and a very strong and extremely vague comment to be making about people born via C-section? I have 0 allergies as well. Just kinda opened my eyes to how far removed from everyday women she can be it was sad. I’m not subscribing to the cancel culture here and going to continue to be open minded with her stuff but this was way off base.

I rarely ever write reviews, but this podcast has been really formative and educational all the while being such a fun and easy listen. I look forward to every episode and really appreciate Mari’s approach to wellness and her vulnerability on all things. I know it can’t be easy being a public figure while running a business and doing a podcast and yet, she shows up week to week to bring more awareness to her POW community, and I really appreciate that. Thank you for doing what you do!
