As a user of both Samsung and Apple, I must say I’m very much impressed by the Apple A16 bionic. It’s down 2 cores from my beloved 8 core snapdragon series but damn does it perform better than snapdragon to date. I’m not biased towards either system, I simply switched to Apple because I’m done with google’s BS, but I still keep android around without a google account for productivity purposes.

Check the price of POCO F4 GT And then check the price of the iPhone 14 Pro. If getting 7 to 10% more gaming performance and 15 to 20% of better Camera performance by paying more than double the price reasonable for you, then go for it.

Just thought I'd add something here. Samsung 4nm is lower tech than TSMC 5nm (the Xnm naming scheme is all marketing past ~2005), which is to say that a 5nm chip such as say, the A15, has 26% higher transistor density than a Samsung 4nm like this snap 8 (173.1 mtx/mmA^2 TSMC N5 / 137 mtx/mmA^2 for Samsung 4LPE). The A16 runs on TSMC 4nm, which would of course have even denser transistors than TSMC 5nm and Samsung 4nm. I can't say how much more because I haven't seen charts for the N4 process... Frankly, this difference dooms the snapdragon for comparisons, especially outside performance (ex: efficiency, size).

idk why everyone is arguing over which is better. normal use won't even need half the power either SOC has so it's pointless. if all you care about is gaming get a console or PC. if you want mobile gaming get a switch or gaming phone, not an iPhone or Samsung. yes, they both can game but that's not the intended use.

The Windows Phone Lumia 1520 was so awesome when I got it in 2014 and it was far ahead of both Apple and SAMSUNG in stability, photography, and communications ease for social, and business utility for many years including after it was discontinued. I wish Microsoft had remained committed to its Windows Phone high-end products. Today, I settle for SAMSUNG at top of the line and there are STILL things that the old WINDOWS PHONE did better.

it's quite hard to compare a chipset when you have different software behind it. I think both are great for the competition, I do really like the extremely fast 14 pro max.

Stop arguing over chipsets made by the same companies, there are major protocols for making chipsets each year, it's not about "X cannot make a better chipset than Y". The truth is "the marketing tricks force people to comparison products" that's how both get their sales each year. No comparison = fewer sales. So don't get too zealous over X or Y.

Anyways Apple has one of the best processors for sure, they don't overheat like hell in simple tasks more over have longer update support, and simply perform better. There's no fun in having a million plus antutu score or what so over, anyways even an A14 bionic is better than 8 plus gen 1 if you don't live in a cold region cuz these new chips heat like anything. There's no way someone would actually consider 8gen 1 better than A16.

Vincent Knorr, "Apple has the best smartphones in the world change my mind" Why change your mind while it is YOUR opinion, after all? For me, Apple does not have the best smartphones. There are several good options for anyone out there, you know - not just one platform.

Jonathan, Hahaha dude, Tecno Camon 19 Pro... is a $200 smartphone with a MediaTek chip (Helio G96, it performs at about 70% of a Snapdragon 695). Hardly 'flagship'. No wonder the iPhone 14 Pro Max performs better, it is 7-8x more expensive xD

Jonathan, Are you kidding me? Do you compare a mid-range phone (dimensity 810) with a flagship? Of course, a 1700€ phone is faster than a 400€ phone! I recommend you do this fair comparison: Iphone 7 vs Xiaomi Blackshark 5 Pro 5G.

A) There is no such thing as 'Android Chips'. B) If you mean 'other chips' then how do you know? If Apple surpassed Qualcomm at some point, why won't Qualcomm (or any other maker) ever be able to surpass Apple at some point? That's like saying nobody will ever make a faster production car than Koenigsegg because they hold the current record.

watch AnTuTu 9 benchmark then talk again. Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 already beat Apple with The AnTuTu Benchmark measures CPU, GPU, RAM, and I/O performance in different scenarios. Android flagships have better GPU and more RAM so good luck apple fanboy.

Marius, It’s the same argument for Intel vs AMD. Competition creates innovation, I’m happy Apple, google and Qualcomm are competing for the same as Intel and AMD. It produces more consumer products for the consumer.
