🌎 We are delighted to share with you the summary of the 2-day International online Workshop on “Policy and Technology for Grid Flexibility and Stability”, hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Japan) in March 2024 as part of the Mission's #knowledgesharing activity. ⚡️ The 2-day event featured contributions from 18 international experts from 7 different countries, including 5 countries’ perspectives, along with IEA and IRENA keynotes. This collaborative workshop fostered the exchange of global and national perspectives, best practices, and innovative solutions for #gridflexibility and stability. On 5 July, GPFM - The Green Powered Future Mission successfully organized the first webinar of the online series, featuring the "Hybridization of Isolated Systems in Brazil" project. 💡 This project is at the forefront of developing #innovativesolutions to prove the reliability of #renewables and cost-effective solutions for electricity generation in isolated systems, particularly in the Amazon region, with the ambitious goal of #phasingout diesel generation. 👏 A big thanks to the Brazilian colleagues for their outstanding presentations about the project, challenges and lessons learned, as well as to all participants who joined the webinar and took part in a very engaging discussion. 📼 Watch the recording on the GPFM page to learn about the incredible work being done to bring renewable power to remote regions of #Brazil: https://lnkd.in/dWiKDeJt ➡️ Stay tuned for next month's webinar featuring the #IRENA project!
