BUND has tested dental floss for PFAS. Two out of seven products contained the forever chemicals. A dental floss product from the drugstore chain Budni own brand “Diadent” and a dental floss product from the DM own brand “Dontodent” contained PFAS. The measured PFOA concentration is well below the legal limit. However, the discovery shows that residues of dangerous PFAS compounds end up in the end product and can pollute the environment. More information can be found here. BUND also released results of a research that found PFAS in nine of ten tap water samples and in three of five mineral water samples from Germany.
