'Lessons from Cannes', a thought provoking session organised yesterday by PRCAI in partnership with CommsAdda
Key speakers, including Key speakers included Nitin Mantri, Regional Executive Managing for APAC at We Communication & Group CEO at Avian WE; Archana Jain, CEO of PR Pundit Havas Red; & Girish Balachandran, Founder of ON PURPOSE shared their insights from Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity & their experiences in crafting award-winning campaigns.
Nitin highlighted the pivotal role of humanity and humor in successful campaigns, emphasizing insight-driven storytelling and the importance of humanizing brands authentically. He discussed the growing synergy between commercial goals and purpose-driven initiatives, where businesses can drive both societal impact and profitability. Additionally, he underscored the criticality of creativity, backed by thorough research and the strategic use of technologies such as AI.
Two standout campaigns were discussed for their significant impact:
~ Philips Refurb: Better than new
Philips' campaign promoting refurbished products underscores their commitment to sustainability and circular solutions. By advocating for refurbished items, Philips not only reduces environmental impact but also offers consumers eco-friendly alternatives without compromising on quality.
~ Pedigree Adoptable: Pedigree's campaign shines a spotlight on shelter dogs, showcasing their adoptability through a collaboration with Colenso BBDO and Nexus Studios. This initiative aims to raise awareness about shelter animals and promote adoption by presenting these dogs positively across various media platforms. By encouraging adoption, Pedigree supports animal welfare and responsible pet ownership practices.
These campaigns exemplify impactful storytelling and meaningful engagement, aligning with core values of sustainability and compassion.
