Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a team of passionate, talented engineers.
  • Lead the development of a business-critical system using modern web technologies.
  • Advancing Gloat’s technology by building a scalable microservices architecture.
  • Collaborate on roadmaps with Product Managers, Architects and Tech Lead to ensure the team has clear direction and priorities.
  • Work closely with Gloat customer success organization to enable fast and seamless onboarding.
  • Manage employee career development by providing coaching and mentoring, continuous performance feedback, collaborate with employees on their objectives and provide a clear path for progression through personal development plans.
  • Continuously learn and improve your professional and managerial skills.
  • Develop processes and tools to monitor and improve performance, quality and usability
  • Adapt and solve problems as they arise.


Requirements

  • Quick learner, a team player, independent, imaginative and motivated individual with a passion to learn!
  • 5+ years developing SaaS backend & web applications
  • 2+ years leading and mentoring a development team
  • Excellent understanding of databases, modeling and querying.
  • Experienced in planning and execution of complex projects in an agile environment
  • Working in a fast changing organization or growing startup – Advantage
