Prevention & Population Health
IHPI experts seek evidence about the most effective ways to prevent disease, improve access to care, and build and sustain healthy communities. Our members analyze public health programs, policies, and services and their impact on individuals, families, communities, and local and global populations, with a particular focus on addressing social determinants of health and community-engaged research.
Dental Professor Dr. Romesh Nalliah's research focuses on dental healthcare, hospital, and educational processes with the goal to improve patient care delivery and outcomes. In this IHPI interview, he discusses the need to connect oral health to systemic health and the impacts both have on a patient’s overall well-being.
