We can't say for sure if there was dancing in the streets, but our new National Clinician Scholars & master's degree students recently got a chance to know our area & one another better on a trip to #Detroit! We were saddened to learn of the passing of Gail Wilensky on July 11. Gail was a devoted Michigan alum, accomplished health economist, and inaugural member of the IHPI National Advisory Board. For more than 10 years on the Board, she helped to guide the strategic direction of the Institute with thoughtful perspectives on how best to develop and apply evidence-based research to affect constructive policy conversations. Our hearts go out to Gail’s family and friends during this difficult time. 

Older Americans are feeling a lot of financial strain, our new poll shows - but those who are the least healthy are feeling it even more.
