I’m so excited to share that my article about my experiences as a dyspraxic teenager in the education system, has been published on spunout ! I’m super proud of this article as it was tough to be so open to the world but I hope this shows other dyspraxic young people that they aren’t alone. ”I felt like I wasn’t wearing a costume for the first time.” We are incredibly proud to share that our Learning Content Editor, Leighton Gray, was featured on #IrelandAM this morning to kick off #Pride weekend. Leighton opened up about their personal journey of coming out as transgender in Ireland and shared insightful advice on how parents can support their children coming out as transgender. For people who are concerned about coming out to their friends and family, Leighton offered the following advice; ”the main thing is safety and dignity, making sure that you’re in a space where you feel comfortable and having an exit plan unfortunately, if necessary. Making sure that you have a support group that know where you are and you can lean on, and knowing that you don’t have to tolerate any kind of disrespect. By featuring stories from trailblazers within the Traveller community, ‘Mincéirs: Paving the Way’ aims to inspire listeners and gather more support to combat racism and promote inclusivity in Ireland. This project has been in the works since summer last year and Emma and Latisha have given a huge amount of time to put it together from creating lists of topics, guests, questions and successfully developing their skills as podcast interviewers.
