🗣 "There's going to be big crowds in Paris and I love that. I've experienced it a little bit before at the European Championships in Sheffield close to home as well, and had my family and friends at that and loved the experience. Obviously Paris is going to be a whole other level and a much, much bigger scale but I'm just really excited to have my family and friends there. The next two games are in LA and Brisbane so I think to have it so accessible for people to come over is brilliant." Yesterday at Paralympics Ireland's "Team Behind the Team" workshop our Chef de Mission Neasa Russell introduced the group to the Irish word 'Meitheal' which means 'a collective effort for the greater good of the community'. Meitheal is the ancient Irish tradition of a group coming together for a common purpose and working together and for each other to ensure that all succeed in achieving their goal. This was truly reflected at the workshop which included staff, practitioners and coaches all working together to ensure that Team Ireland will be in the best position possible to perform at Paris and support our athletes in every way possible. #TheNextLevel | #TeamIreland | Sport Ireland | Richard Doyle | International Paralympic Committee | PTSB
