We ran a poll 📊 here on LinkedIn about the rise of eLearning. Hundreds of you voted, and we’d like to share some thoughts.   We think the eLearning revolution – turbo-charged by the need to shift education online during the Covid-19 pandemic – is entering its next phase of expansion.   A report by US-based Allied Market Research predicts CAGR of 17.5% by 2030 – driven by demand from educators, inclusion of #AI and #machinelearning to enhance learning experiences, plus a greater appetite for mobile use.   This phenomenon, according to the research, is not limited to one geography: while North America currently leads in revenue terms, the Asia-Pacific market looks set to be the fastest growing for eLearning.   In some instances, eLearning is genuinely life-changing for a population. For example, the World Economic Forum's Edison Alliance for digital inclusion – in conjunction with the Bangladeshi government – is bringing virtual education in computer programming to teachers and children in the country – reaching 1.6 million people through online learning.   What difference does eLearning make to the educational experience and results for candidates and employers?   According to statistics from Scotland and Saudi Arabia-based online learning provider, ICS Learn, candidates primarily like:   ✅ The flexibility (84%) ✅ The ability to study at their own pace 81% ✅ The ability to retain information improved by up to 60%   In addition, ICS claims that online learning and training improves employee performance by 25% and has helped almost three-quarters of organisations (72%) to remain competitive.   The above is an excerpt from “eLearning: the training and certification solution for the next decade”, available to anyone with a free PeopleCert Account.
