A USAID study found that 70% of rural Northern Ghana farmers engaged with digital services, but only 31.6% stayed active without extra support. The FAO reports mobile technology boosts smallholder productivity by 30% when paired with traditional extension services. Despite its potential, the digital divide still hinders many African farmers. On Day 7 of our Agribusiness Roadshow in Jadima, Mamprugu Moagduri District in Northern Ghana, we're closing this gap, delivering vital agricultural knowledge and resources to rice and maize farmers, with support from ADAMA Ltd., Envirofit International, and MOFA GHANA Watch this video for a summary of the community farmer engagement event. Making More Food, More Profit & More Impact with farmers everywhere.
About us
We create access for all players in the agricultural value chain Farmerline is a company that develops solutions to increase access to farmers and simplify transactions throughout the agricultural value chain. Our focus on creating lasting profits for farmers everywhere has fuelled our innovations from the very onset. We are the first organization in Africa to give farmers access to information through voice messages in local languages, effectively bridging the knowledge gap among smallholder farmers. We are building the “Amazon” for farmers where they can access these timely services and other quality resources at affordable prices in their community. Since our inception in 2013, we have gone beyond serving farmers with information and resources that increase their yield. Now, we also provide global organizations with the tools they need to reach, engage and transform the agricultural last mile. Our belief in the power of technology to ensure sustainability across the agricultural value chain gave birth to Mergdata (www.mergdata.com); a mobile and web application for last-mile engagement. With this technology, we ensure that all last-mile engagements create access for all players, ensure transparency and efficiency, and ultimately, contribute to global food security. The software also offers real-time traceability, certification audit, farm mapping, farmer education, and analytics solutions to help organizations that work with farmers achieve their sustainability and food security goals efficiently. Mergdata uses big data and AI to give organizations insight into the work of farmers and to give farmers increased access to resources and services; including financial services.

🌍 Recent statistics highlight the potential of Africa's agribusiness market, which could reach $1 trillion by 2030. With 60% of West Africa's population under 25, engaging youth in agriculture is crucial to harnessing this growth. The agriculture sector can provide significant employment opportunities for this young workforce. Farmerline Group's GROW Program supports agribusinesses in Ghana and Ivory Coast by integrating technology, digitization tools, training, and field agents to help agribusinesses maximize profits. We recently held a trainer of trainers’ workshop for our GROW Ambassadors in Bolgatanga, Upper-East Region of Ghana, equipping them with essential skills to drive sustainable agriculture, aligning with our mission to empower farmers and boost local economies. African farmers lose up to 40% of their crops due to inadequate access to inputs and markets. On Day 6 of the Farmerline Group Agribusiness Roadshow in Yagaba, capital of the Mamprugu Moagduri District in the Northeast Region of Ghana, we addressed these challenges with rice and maize farmers. The district has approximately 4,000 smallholders and aggregators in rice farming and processing activities. Participants were introduced to new crop protection products, and educated on climate-smart agricultural practices, crop insurance, and our asset financing support program. Thanks to our partners, ADAMA Ltd., Envirofit International, and MOFA GHANA. Together we're empowering farmers for a more sustainable future. #Agribusiness #Farmerline #SustainableFarming #ClimateSmartAgriculture #Agritech #SustainableDevelopment #ThisIsFarmerline #GroupeFarmerline #MakeMore #GROWByFarmerline #399 #1349 #8349 #7349 Alloysius Attah Emmanuel O Addai Emmanuel Osae-Nyarko Anthony Aliebe Lily Akorfa Keledorme Worlali Senyo Michael Avle Joshua Banana Awutey

Alloysius Attah knows the land intimately. Growing up in a farming community in Ghana, he witnessed firsthand the daily challenges smallholder farmers face. Despite their tireless efforts, they were always at the mercy of limited resources and unpredictable weather. This early experience instilled in him a deep understanding of their struggles and a fierce determination to drive change. After completing his studies in Kumasi, Alloysius realized that many solutions to his community's problems existed over 100 years ago for most farmers in developed countries but had yet to reach all small-scale farmers everywhere. He understood that to solve the issue holistically and create lasting profit for all farmers; one must support farmers in growing quality food while collaborating with the world's food companies and governments to provide relevant and actionable information in the languages farmers understand, bridge the $190 billion financing gap, and provide consistent market access. He and his co-founder launched Farmerline with this insight, starting with just $600. Their mission was to connect farmers to essential resources and information through digital technology. Small-scale farmers feed one-third of humanity and will need to produce 70% more food to feed the future. They are an integral part of the global food system. Farmerline Group, with its subscription-based tech platform Mergdata, has grown exponentially to support these crucial farmers. Today, Mergdata and its partners have supported 2.2 million farmers in 50 countries. Its platform monitors 3.2 million acres of farmland with 94% compliance with EUDR. Collaborating with 3,000 partners, Farmerline boosts productivity and profitability globally. The results speak for themselves: an 89% increase in crop yields and a 203% increase in profits per acre. Over the past ten years, Farmerline has tracked commodities worth over $160 million. For Alloysius, the mission extends beyond agricultural productivity. He envisions creating generational wealth for farmers, ensuring food security, and leveraging technology to transform lives. Recently, he was selected as a Fellow for the Unreasonable Food program, a collaboration between Unreasonable and Mars. This program is committed to empowering entrepreneurs with the resources, mentorship, and network they need to scale their impact. Together, we're fostering a thriving ecosystem of food system innovators. On World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, we highlight the alarming fact that desertification, land degradation, and drought are impacting nearly half of the world's population, with up to 40% of the planet’s land already degraded. This degradation affects agricultural productivity, leading to food insecurity and increased poverty, especially in developing countries. At Farmerline Group, we empower farmers through Mergdata and Mission 13 to combat these challenges and build climate resilience.
