The San Jordi Les Corts hostel is situated just a short walk from the famous Barcelona FC Camp Nou stadium and though not in the Centre of all things touristy has the metro just minutes away meaning you are never far from the hub of the City or easy access to the airport with the added bonus of being in a quiet and safe neighbourhood with cafes, bars and mini markets at hand.
The hostel itself is made up of a handful of rooms and couple of shared bathrooms with showers to the first floor and toilet with wash basin on the ground floor where the t.v lounge equipped with dvd's, small kitchen, free computers and small patio area are located and always kept clean by the very friendly and helpful staff who pointed me in the right direction on every attraction query and more.
What the hostel lacks in size it makes up for in atmosphere, so if you're looking for large rooms and grandeure then its possibly not the place for you but if you prefer a clean friendly and helpful place to lay your head you can't go wrong.
Top tips: Buy the 10 pass ticket for the RENFE train to and from the airport and metro and be aware of the many opportunist pick pockets who operate in the stations and Tourist areas. Also if you have time do the free guided 'Gaudi' or 'Old City' walks that are on offer twice daily departed both in the morning and after lunch from the square just off Las Ramblas.

This hostel just feels like home. I got a petit mixed dorm for 4. It wasn't amazing but you've got everything you need. A fan, a comfortable bed, a blanket, a sheet, a stack of drawers to put your things, and a locker for free. Sleeping was fine because it was not noisy at night and you have your own keys (for the hostel, your room and your locker). Oh and electricity socket if you would love to chat with your beloved one before sleep.
They also got a fully equipped kitchen, with oven and microwave, a big fridge (but I think a fridge will never enough for hostel guests as we always buy more and more food), and some free coffee, tea and chocolate. You can grill on the terrace and have a small barbeque party or play cards. There were shared bathrooms and they were just fine.
In the common room, they have some travel books, for Europe or Spain or Barcelona. You can even watch some movies there cause they have like a lot lot of DVDs. And the common room was very comfy with a big fan and view to the terrace. It also has two PCs if you need to use the internet. But you can also use your laptop there to access the wifi. The average download speed ranged from 100-600 kb/s.
Near the hostel there was a very cheap shopping center. And you can reach the metro Les Corts within 5 minutes. If you bring big luggage.. I suggest you to take the Traversera de Les Corts than Joan Guell, cause it has less stairs, but you have to cross the street, in my opinion it's easier that way than you have to take three times more stairs. The hostel guy was very nice and friendly. He was very helpful.
If anyone would ask about this hostel, I would recommend this hostel.

This hostel was clean and had air conditioning. The kitchen was a mess in the morning from the boys that used it the night before, but the cleaning lady was right on it when I woke up. The room was comfortable and I had no problem getting the bathroom for a shower. The hostel is right near the metro, but buy the daypass since you will be riding it a lot since Les Corts is a little out of the way. (but not inconvenient) overall, it was a great experience.
