At workplace, especially for leaders, resilience and adaptability are intertwined skills. Leaders who demonstrate these skills are often found to be 1. Highly self aware 2. Having high emotional intelligence - being aware of their own emotions, they can regulate their own emotions in times of setbacks and at the same time, they are able to empathise and connect with their team members to steer them to newer strategies. 3. Those with an adaptive mindset - they embrace change as a growth opportunity rather than viewing it as a threat. Naturally, for their team members who look upto them, they come across as born leaders.

Here is the reality. The path to resiliency is strewn with mistakes, failures, and LEARNINGS! My approach has always been to take educated and calculated risks, fail forward, and attempt to never make the same mistake twice. I am the leader I am today because I was allowed to try things, make mistakes, and learn and grow.
