Momentum Transfer is a venture which will revolutionise materials discovery and development. Our cloud based software platform will transform understanding gained from X-ray data. It harnesses the power of artificial intelligence combined with synchrotron radiation, creating a deep understanding down to the atomic scale. This helps our customers build successful material development pipelines.
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), your business acumen will complement our strong science and engineering team. You will be instrumental in scaling our startup from its seed stage to Series B and beyond. Your role will not only encompass traditional operational responsibilities but also focus heavily on establishing and driving the sales organisation and commercial strategy. You will blend strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure our commercial success.
Your tasks
Sales and Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement a robust sales strategy to drive revenue growth. Establish metrics and targets, aligning them with the company’s long-term objectives.
Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations, ensuring they support the company's strategic goals and sales objectives.
Building Sales Organization: Set up a strong sales team. Recruit, train, and mentor sales personnel, fostering a culture of achievement and success.
Financial Management: Manage budgets and financial planning with a focus on profitability and revenue growth.
Own fundraising and financial strategy and execution together with founders
Your profile
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a COO or in a similar leadership role with a strong focus on sales and commercial growth, preferably in SaaS / technology.
Strategic, entrepreneurial thinker combined with a hands-on attitude to create and implement effective strategies.
Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and managing sales teams for peak performance.
Excellent commercial acumen, with experience in budgeting and financial planning.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving startup environment.
Ideal Previous Experience/Achievements:
Experience in successfully scaling a startup's sales and operations, particularly from seed to Series B funding stages.
Proven track record in market expansion and establishing successful operations.
Experience in contract negotiation, and stakeholder management.

In the first step, your employment with Chemovator is temporary until the venture team has successfully completed the Chemovator Journey. The possibility of a permanent position in the newly founded GmbH is usually out of doubt.
