optomap is the only technology that captures 200-degree ultra-widefield fluorescein angiography images in a single shot. This combination of field of view and image quality provides clinicians with unmatched visualization of dye perfusion throughout the entire retina without the need to montage images captured at different times. Visit Optos in Stockholm at ASRS booth #115 to see how optomap technology can help transform your practice. Not attending? Cataract disease is highly treatable and one simple step toward extending patients’ vision health is through comprehensive, annual eye examinations. Optos’ core devices can image through cataracts 85% of the time. The UWF view of an optomap® image can be captured through hazy media where white light has difficulty penetrating, revealing problematic retinal issues prior to surgery. Visit our blog to read more on the importance of utilizing UWF imaging to identify risks prior to surgery as well as the importance of educating your patients on the severity and commonality of cataract disease. https://lnkd.in/exrGjskb #optos #optomap #UWF #cataract

This new modality is a welcome feature, since it combines the extensive field of view of UWF with a natural retinal color representation. Color RGB images can be acquired simultaneously with color RG images, providing 2 UWF color images in 1 capture. The new modality also allows for blue laser autofluorescence in addition to green laser autofluorescence. Thus, more retinal detail can be obtained without increasing the test duration. With three full time doctors in practice, Melanie Langford, OD is able to continually grow her business by utilizing a technology that aids in clinical decision making and demonstrates continued commitment to her patients. After recently upgrading to the Monaco, combining optomap ultra-widefield retinal imaging with SD-OCT, the multimodal imaging capabilities from one piece of equipment allows for more diagnostic data, and according to Dr. Langford, a more thorough ocular examination. With more than 25,000 devices installed globally, Optos aims to set the standard for eye examinations that deliver the best care for patients. It is with profound sadness that we learn of the sudden passing of Professor Ramin Tadayoni, a distinguished leader in the field of ophthalmology and a dear friend to many.   A visionary in retinal research and the President of the European Society of Retina Specialists (EURETINA), Professor Tadayoni served as head of the ophthalmology departments at Fondation Adolphe de Rothschild, and Lariboisière Hospital, and was a Professor at the University of Paris. His contribution to our industry and his dedication to his field were truly remarkable.   He had great plans for the future, including the recent inauguration of the Institut Français de la Myopie, aiming to enhance specialized care and spearhead clinical research in myopia. At Optos, we had the honor of collaborating with him and he contributed to our educational webinars and lectures over the years.    Described as a mentor and a compassionate individual, his warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met - from patients to peers and students. Known for his humility and commitment to education, his legacy will continue to inspire and influence generations to come.   We extend our deepest condolences to his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In the coming months, we will celebrate and reflect on his remarkable impact. For now, we grieve the loss of a true pioneer in ophthalmology, whose vision and dedication profoundly enriched our community.
