How can traffic jams in big cities be reduced? In Germany, drivers lose a total of 40 hours of their time due to traffic jams. However, according to the INRIX study, which analyzed traffic data from over 900 cities worldwide over a period of three years, and the Agora Verkehrswende study, traffic in Germany is decreasing. In Hamburg, travel times and the number of journeys have also dropped by 11% in comparison, while the use of local transport is only 8% below pre-corona rates. 📈 To reduce the impact on the transport infrastructure, we at MOIA are combining as many trips as possible with ridepooling. In the future, we will be using autonomous vehicles, of which a larger fleet can then be used to bundle traffic further.
