Phase 2 of SuperMUC-NG works with #GPU - these not only offer possibilities for #AI methods, they also accelerate classic #simulation. The open #SYCL standard (a #programminglanguage) enables the new #processors as well as other #accelerators and multicore and vector #CPUs. Together with specialists from Intel Corporation and researchers, LRZ experts have prepared #Echo, a #science code for the representation and modelling of #turbulence, wave propagation and instabilities on SYCL. Young #researchers wanted for the Young Academy: of Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften. They can apply with current projects for the excellent #network and programme. "A decisive criterion for admission to the programme," says the BADW website, "is the innovative, creative character of a project." Interdisciplinarity also scores points.
