🇸🇪🔋 As of last week, batteries used for purposes beyond storing self-produced energy in Sweden are also eligible for the green tax reduction. This opens up the potential of more advanced use cases in home energy management to maximize value for end users. 🤖 But as gridX CTO and Managing Director, Tobias Mitter, points out: "Batteries are only as flexible as the energy management system behind them." 🥞 Learn about the importance of value stacking with an advanced EMS below or check out our recent blog for more info: https://hubs.li/Q02G9bSY0 #sweden #batteries #energystorage #FCR #HEMS #greentaxreduction

🇵🇹 When compared to the rest of Europe, Portuguese charging infrastructure struggles to keep up, yet, of the southern countries, it ranks in the top of most metrics. ⬆️ In 2023, it experienced only the 24th highest increase in charge points. 🚙 For share of new car sales, it ranked 13th (18%). 🔌 They have the fifth highest share of fast chargers, but land at 27 for ultra fast. ⚡️ The southern regions of the Algarve and Alentejo have the best distribution of charge points per capita, followed by the capital, Lisbon. 🚗 When looking at the top operators in the country, Portugal is one of the few in our report to not include Tesla. Instead, the top five operators are: EDP, Galp, Powerdot, Atlante and KLC. 👉 Learn more when you download our latest Charging Report 2024: https://hubs.li/Q02s3C6J0 #EVcharging #smartcharging #charginginfrastructure #emobility #EVs #electriccars

🤷 Are you often stumped by the measurements used for electric vehicle charging, battery capacity or energy consumption? Do you know the difference between power and energy? 💡 In our latest glossary, we go back to basics to look at the difference between kilowatt, kilowatt hour and kilowatt peak. ☀️🔋🚗 These are crucial to understand the interactions between devices that produce, consume or store electricity, and to understand the intricacies of your (or your sites' energy bill) and how it can be reduced with features like peak shaving. 👉 Check it out: https://hubs.li/Q02FS8XS0 #solarpower #energy #electricity #kilowatt #kilowatthour #peakshaving #energybill #EVcharging #energystorage #glossary

📈 On June 26, Germany broke a record for reaching its highest hourly electricity price in history – do you know how these price fluctuations can translate to real savings for end users with time of use tariffs? 🏠🚗🕓 Luckily we can tell you. In XENON, we calculated how much a real German end user could have saved if their electric vehicle (EV) charging was automatically shifted from the evening immediately after being plugged in (without EMS) to the early morning (with EMS). 🤑 This equates to over €25 in savings in one charging session with no loss of comfort. Without time of use tariffs, the price peak contributed to a 64% increase in the average weekly electricity price in Germany compared to the week prior. 👉 Get in touch if you want to enable your customers to leverage price fluctuattions rather than suffer from them: https://hubs.li/Q02FCGsS0 #timeofuse #dynamictariffs #ToU #EMS #energymanagement

🛣 The road to HEMS: ⚡️ Electrify -> 🤖 Make intelligent -> 🤑 Save money 💰 When calculating the savings of an electrified and intelligently connected home, many often forget to factor in the costs of fuel for an ICE vehicle and gas heating. But one of the key benefits of home energy management systems (HEMS) is that everything is electric, centrally controlled in the home and, of course, notably more cost-efficient. 🚗🔋☀️ In fact, by charging an EV mostly at home, electrifying heating, storing electricity and covering as much of consumption as possible with rooftop solar and an intelligent HEMS, end users can cut their total energy costs almost in half. 🏡 And the best part? This is only the savings enabled by a basic HEMS. By stacking additional features that deliver more value – such as time of use tariffs, paragraph 14a or explicit flexibility services – users can save even more in the long term. 👀 Learn more about the many benefits of an advanced HEMS in our latest report: https://hubs.li/Q02FxPK_0 #HEMS #EMS #energymanagement #smartenergy #homeenergymanagement #energybills #savings #energyefficiency

🇳🇴 What's Norway's charging infrastructure like? ✨ In a word: remarkable. 🏆 The Scandinavian country is the undisputed leader when it comes: ✅ BEV adoption per capita (almost double the number of the second place country, Iceland) ✅ Capacity per capita (again, almost double Iceland) ✅ Average charging speed (+15% on Liechtenstein) 🥈 In terms of charge points per capita, it comes second to the Netherlands. 🚗⚡️In Europe, it has the highest share of fast chargers and the fourth highest share of slow chargers. 🏁 When looking at the top operators for charge points and capacity, the same five are on both lists (although in different orders): Kople, Mer, Eviny, Recharge and Tesla. 🚀 See how Norway compares to the rest of Scandinavia in our 2024 Charge Report: https://hubs.li/Q02s3C6J0 #EVcharging #smartcharging #charginginfrastructure #emobility #EVs #electriccars

🤑 By holistically and automatically optimizing all energy flows in the home, end users, above all, benefit from significantly lower energy costs. 🚗 As Stefan Eichenseer, Product Owner HEMS at E.ON Deutschland, points out: when you return home from work and plug in your electric car, no one wants to worry about whether it will draw too much electricity from the grid and raise your costs. 🏡 This is why a HEMS solution with a gridBox at its core removes complexity and ensures that users' assets consume electricity in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. 👉 Check out our HEMS report to learn more about the benefits for end users and energy companies: https://hubs.li/Q02D_Tjz0 #HEMS #energymanagement #endconsumers #energysavings #costsavings #energycosts
