Reconnecting to Education

You often hear that education is the best way out of poverty.  But when you live in a cycle of trauma and violence, it isn’t easy to concentrate on education.  Once a youth becomes disconnected from education, the chances of successfully transitioning to adulthood decrease exponentially.  Youth who do not finish high school have lower income potential and have a 63% greater risk of becoming incarcerated.

COMPASS education specialists work to tailor an education plan for each of our participants.  The education specialist gets them reconnected to school, secondary education, or ready to take the GED exam.
