Do you frequently travel by air? As post-pandemic air travel resurges in volume, so does its carbon footprint, with aviation accounting for 2.5% of carbon emissions globally. Despite the seemingly low value, global carbon emissions from aviation have quadrupled since the 1960s and is set on an exponential growth path. In light of this projection, the International Civil Aviation Organization has sought to achieve the goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050. To accomplish this objective, the aviation industry is investing in sustainable aviation fuel and carbon emission offsetting schemes. Just concluded an insightful workshop for Jardine Engineering (Singapore) Pte Ltd led by Univers’ #NetZero experts. This workshop is part of the Net Zero Facilities Management Starter Package, designed to guide FMCs on their decarbonization journey.
