The Big Move 📍 Location: Near Padborg, southern Denmark ⛽ Capacity: Producing 12,000 litres of eSAF daily 🤝 Partnership: Leveraging European Energy's Power-to-X facility Why This Matters ♻️ Climate Impact: Aviation contributes over 2% of global CO2 emissions (around 800 million tonnes). 💡 Innovation: Metafuels' scalable aerobrew technology turns sustainably produced methanol into jet fuel with up to 90% reduction in life cycle emissions. CEO's Vision "European Energy is a key partner for us as we transition eSAF from concept to reality. Fantastic to attend the International Air Transport Association (IATA) #Aviation Energy Forum last week in beautiful Vienna and participate in the panel on "The Next Wave of #SAF" with Oneiros Aerospace, Firefly Green Fuels and Airbus. Key takeaways included that it is time to deliver capacity and each stakeholder in the aviation ecosystem has an important enabling role to play. It takes a long-term view to consider SAF investments, underpinned by trustworthy, yet pragmatic #regulation and #certification.
