The Olympic Museum: As seen in The New York Times Travel section! 🌍 The Olympic Museum garnered international attention today after being featured prominently in The New York Times Travel section. ✏ The The New York Times article, titled "Lausanne, Where the Olympics Never End”, was written by Seth Sherwood and illustrated with photos by Darren S. Lausanne, The Olympic Capital played host to a delightful and healthy breakfast at La Maison du Sport International (MSI). World Rowing donated a Concept 2 indoor rower to the MSI fitness room for the use of the employees working in the MSI. The President of World Rowing, Jean-Christophe Rolland gave us a nice speech. Adding a fun twist to the event, Jodie Cameron, the newly appointed Healthy Sports Organisations™ Ambassador, representing World Rowing demonstrated fundamental techniques on the ERG. It was a fantastic opportunity for all International Sports Organisations to network and exchange ideas and to learn more about the sport of rowing. We're grateful for these opportunities to connect, learn - and stay healthy! Thank you for joining us and thank you to World Rowing for the donation and expertise. #employeehealth #sport #lausanne #sportmotivation #concept2

Today, we proudly inaugurated the Lausanne 2020 - Organising Committee cauldron at its new, permanent home in the Espace Fair-Play in the Vidy, next to Lausanne's bowl and a stone throw away from the Pierre de Coubertin Stadium and the Olympic House (IOC headquarters). This unique cauldron, designed by FRANCOIS LAFORTUNE during his time as an ECAL University of Art and Design Lausanne student and constructed by local school apprentices, is shaped like a skate or snowboard ramp and stands as a lasting legacy of the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games. The event, organized in collaboration with Sports Management School Lausanne was attended by city authorities, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee – IOC, and members of the public. We eagerly anticipate celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Lausanne 2020 Youth Olympic Games with you in 2025!
